What is a laptop and tablet charging station?
A charging station gives shared devices a designated place for storage and charging. The Kaznyika CDZ-16 is an open steel rack with 16 numbered slots, removable dividers, cable-routing holes and an included U.S. power strip. Device chargers and charging cables are supplied by the buyer.
1. Check device dimensions, including cases
Measure the complete device rather than relying on its screen size. Protective cases, handles and charging connectors can change the space it needs. CDZ-16 is designed for devices with screens up to 15.6 inches; the overall rack measures 20.5 inches wide, 14 inches deep and 16.2 inches high. Its 15 removable U-shaped dividers form 16 slots. If you remove dividers for larger devices, plan for fewer separate storage positions.
2. Count charging connections separately from storage slots
16 device slots do not mean 16 AC outlets. The CDZ-16 power strip has 12 U.S. AC outlets, two USB-A ports and two USB Type-C ports. If every laptop needs its own AC adapter, plan around the 12 AC outlets. USB connections are useful only when compatible with the device's charging requirements. The presence of a USB Type-C port alone does not establish a particular charging speed or laptop compatibility.
Check your adapters, connector types and the ratings in the supplied instructions. Allow room for adapter bodies and cable routing. Devices, device chargers and charging cables are not included.
3. Match the design to your workplace
- Offices and companies: give meeting-room tablets, training laptops or shared equipment a consistent return point.
- Schools: use numbered positions to organize devices between lessons.
- Organizations and institutions: plan a shared equipment area around staff access, available space and daily routines.
An open rack gives users direct access to devices. CDZ-16 is not a lockable storage cabinet. If controlled or locked storage is a requirement, include that requirement in your purchasing decision.
4. Check placement and setup
Choose a suitable, stable surface with room for the rack, power connections and access. CDZ-16 includes adjustable feet, a lower accessory shelf and covered dividers. Assembly is required; tools and instructions are included. Assign someone to label devices, route cables and check that equipment returns to the correct position.
